Janesville Choral Union

Janesville Choral Union presents Gabriel Faure’s “Requiem” and Howard Boatwright’s “Canticle of the Sun”. Faure’s “Requiem” is one of the most sublime pieces of choral music ever written. Boatwright’s “Canticle”, written in 1963, uses the words of St. Francis of Assisi’s Song of the Creatures. Boatwright was a mid-20th century composer with close family ties in Janesville.
