The Better Life Players will present a program of both comic and heartwarming sketches to benefit The Workshop Galena. Performances, which will take place on Wednesday, August 12 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, August 15 at 2 and 7 p.m., are free and open to the public. The show will be performed at The Workshop, 706 S. West St., Galena. A pre-show BEN’S DINER BBQ BLUE PLATE SPECIAL will be served from 12:30-1:30 p.m. and 5:30-6:30 p.m. Cost is $10 at the door. The benefit calls attention to Americans With Disabilities Pride Month, and The Workshop, which supports adults with disabilities through job training, work opportunities, independence and community integration.
