The organization helps families in need or crisis in all of the Rock County and surrounding areas thru out the year. New\, unwrapped gifts\, toys\, diapers and wipes will be accepted the entire day. We will be at the Holiday Inn Express Convention Center at 3100 Wellington Ave. Janesville WI from 9am to 3pm on November 23rd. Each vendor donates a raffle item and there will be a 50/50 raffle with proceeds to go to the Charity. Santa will be here as well so stop out and grab your pictures with your littles. Come support local vendors and a great charity organization that helps a lot of families over the holidays. There will be some great gift ideas as Christmas is right around the corner. Don’t forget your donation. What a great way to give back to our community.

SUMMARY:Messiah's Food Pantry Donation Day
DESCRIPTION:(Beloit\, WI) It’s only been a few years since Messiah Lutheran Church\, (1531 Townline Ave. in Beloit across from Converse School) launched their food pantry\, but during that time they have seen a steady rise in the needs of families in Rock County. In just the last year\, the average number of households served each time the Pantry is open has risen from 65 to between 85 and 90. That\, coupled with the increase in food costs\, has left the group requiring additional donations. And they know\, as holiday season nears\, the number of families asking for assistance will be even greater. \nThe Pantry is only open twice a month\, on the second and fourth Thursdays. However\, because of Thanksgiving and Christmas\, this year the Pantry will only offer one day in November and one day in December to try to meet the needs of their clients. \nIn an effort to help meet the increase in requests\, the Food Pantry will be holding a Donation Day on Saturday\, November 23\, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Pantry is hoping for contributions of non-perishable foods (boxed and canned goods\, including cereal\, soup\, vegetables\, and fruits\,) as well as personal hygiene and household items that they don’t see donated as often (toilet paper\, toothpaste\, shampoo\, dish soap\, and laundry detergent.) They also welcome cash donations. \nThose seeking help should come when the pantry is next open (December 12\, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.) and bring a driver’s license or proof of address. One of the 19 volunteers will help get them registered. The media and public are invited to join in this special event\, sponsored by TDS\, that helps raise money for the American Cancer Society and will also honor area super volunteer Tammy Brown. Tammy’s list of volunteer work is extensive and includes donating her to various church and community activities\, teaching Junior Achievement\, being the Chief Election Inspector for Janesville\, and the countless hours she spends advocating for cancer survivors like herself and raising money for the American Cancer Society—including at Jets home games. Tammy’s smiling face can usually be found volunteering behind the bar with her tips benefiting the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life\, but this week she’ll be on the ice. Tammy will be the ceremonial puck dropper at 7:05 p.m. The TDS/American Cancer Society night will also include special fundraisers\, giveaways and prizes\, and TDS will also be presenting a $1\,500 check to the American Cancer Society.

DESCRIPTION:The 5th Annual Rock-N-Farm Toy Show Benefitting ECHO \nThe 5th Annual Rock-N-Farm Toy Show is a fun and engaging event celebrating the world of farm toy collecting! This event is designed for collectors of all ages—whether you’re a seasoned enthusiast or a newcomer to the hobby. It also aims to spark creativity and hands-on learning through the design and construction of farm scene dioramas\, as well as the customization of farm toys of all types\, sizes\, and brands. \nThis year\, we’re excited to feature approximately 30 vendors offering a wide range of farm toys\, diorama supplies\, customizing tools\, and craft materials. The show will be held at the Holiday Inn Express in Janesville\, WI\, conveniently located across from the TA truck stop. \nAs part of our commitment to supporting the community\, we’re partnering with ECHO of Janesville for a food drive. Attendees who bring three non-perishable food items will receive free entry to the event. Additionally\, a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to ECHO\, helping to support their important work in the Janesville community. \nWe will have Santa visiting from 9am – 12pm on Sunday December 8th for kids to come and visit in the entry area in front of the ballroom where the event is being held. \nWe are also working with Backyard Barbeque\, a local Janesville business\, who will be providing food for both days of the event.
