The cancellation of Janesville’s big Labor Day parade this year are prompting neighbors in the Fourth Ward to plan their own. Members of the Fourth Ward Neighborhood Action Team are inviting people to decorate their bikes, wagons, strollers, scooters or wheelchairs and dress up as workers to parade along the sidewalk of the park. Organizer Kay Deupree says they’re always looking for things the neighborhood can do together. Parade participants should meet by the swings for the 1:00 p.m. parade. Ice cream will follow.
