The American Red Cross is closing it's offices in Janesville and Beloit, as part of a national effort to reduce the non-profit's footprint.

Spokesperson Barbara Behling says the offices don't have any employees and are only used sporadically for blood drives and meetings.

The office in Janesville is expected to go up for sale by the end of 2017.

The office in Beloit has been for sale for two years, and the Red Cross recently accepted an offer to purchase.
