A 44-year-old Beloit man is sentenced to two years in federal prison for failing to register as a sex offender.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Madison says the Tyree McAtee plead guilty to the charge in November of last year.
McAtee’s prison term will be followed by five years of supervised release and will be served concurrently to the remainder of an 18-month state sentence he’s currently serving.
McAtee was convicted of party to the crime of sexual assault and aggravated battery in 1989. He’s required to register as a sex offender for life.
