Janesville man sentenced to six years in federal prison

A 30-year-old Janesville man is sentence to six years in federal prison for robbing a local tavern.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says that Jeffery S. Forsythe admitted that he was the masked suspect who displayed what appeared to be a firearm and demanded cash at Bad Brad’s Bar in December of 2014.

Forsythe is accused of using air-soft gun during the robbery and making off with more than $1500.

Forsythe pleaded guilty to the robbery in September of last year.
