A 59-year-old woman is facing a drunk driving charge after Janesville police say she drove her car into the Rock River Saturday night. The car ended up in the river near the intersection of Lincoln Street and Riverside Drive just before midnight. Officers say the woman told them she’d dropped her cigarettes, and accidentally hit the gas while trying to pick them up. She was already on shore when emergency responders arrived.
