Janesville police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who jumped off the Centerway Bridge and into the Rock River.  Officers say a person reported seeing a man jump off the south side of the bridge at about 10:30 Monday night.  The witness say he watched the river’s current drag the man over the west side of the dam.  Firefighters arrived on scene with two boats to search the river from the Centerway Dam to South Jackson Street but were not able to locate anyone in the river.  The person who jumped is described as a white male, about 6-feet tall with medium-length brown curly hair, clean shaven and wearing a green or lime green shirt, khaki shorts and white tennis shoes.
