A young woman and her rescue dog are headed to perform at the state fair. Twenty contestants took the grand stand Wednesday night at the Rock County 4-H Fair for a talent contest hosted by WJVL’s Mike Austin. Carly Treinen and her rescued dog, Moses, won the $500 top prize in the contest’s teen division. In the contest’s adult division, Karen Wheelock of Madison took away the top prize of $1,000, with an original, vocal and guitar composition. In the youth competition, Emma Carry, 11, won first prize of $500 with a vocal performance. Runners up were Carlye Hansen, youth division, and Kiara McAdory, teen division.
