If everything goes according to plan, Shine Medical Technologies and 80 jobs will move into the 5th and 6th floors of 101 Milwaukee Street.
City council Monday unanimously approved a 385 thousand dollar TIF loan for the building’s developer.
Council member Jens Jorgensen is hoping the city can strike similar agreements in the future.
But members are also crossing their fingers that the redevelopment of the 6th floor of 101 East Milwaukee Street doesn’t mirror the failed attempt in 2009.
Council member Carol Tidwell says there are no guarantees Shine Medical Technologies will stay the entire duration of its 5-year lease.
