A country tavern in Whitewater is destroyed by fire. The fire chief says The Real McCoy’s on County A is a total loss. When Walworth County Sheriff’s deputies arrived shortly before 3:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, they found flames shooting out of the windows. By the time firefighters arrived, the one-story structure was fully engulfed. Officials say firefighters from 10 area fire departments responded to the blaze that resulted in an estimated $400,000 damage. The cause and origin of the fire has yet to be determined.
