Lightning may be to blame for a barn fire south of Edgerton.  Multiple local fire department crews were called to the 46-hundred block of West Stone Farm Road a little before 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.  Property owner Doug Sayre told Gazette Reporter Kathy Idzerda he believes the cause is lightning because the fire started in a spot with no electrical wiring.  Sayre say the barn was built as a dairy barn but is no longer used for anything other than storing a couple canoes.  Fire departments responding included Edgerton, Evansville, Janesville, town of Turtle, town of Beloit, Orfordville and Footville and Whitewater.
