The Wisconsin Realtors Association says the number of home sales in Rock County increased by 10% percent in January compared to a year ago. Rock-Green Realtors Association President Heidi Krenz-Buchanan attributes that in part to low inventory. The median sales price of a home in January was down 15% compared to a year ago. Krenz-Buchanan attributes that in part to the time of year, and a low inventory prompting the sales of less expensive homes. She is very optimistic about the new year citing low unemployment and high consumer confidence.
