The Janesville School District will likely end the school year with a lot fewer students than it started. District spokesman Patrick Gasper says this is not uncommon.  Gasper says students leave during the course of the school year for a variety of reasons including moving to a new district, graduating, or turning 21-years-old.  The latest enrollment numbers released by the district indicates 70 fewer students in the Second Friday in January Count, compared to the Third Friday in September Count. Gasper says although the most students were lost in the high school, an increased number of students began attending Early Childhood classes.
