(Gazette photo) The long serving Rock Haven nursing home, closed since 2013, will be coming down. The Rock County Board voted unanimously Thursday night for it’s demolition. The former Rock Haven nursing home was built in 1962 and no longer meets building or safety codes. The board had been presented with several options for the building, including renovation into office space. Renovation costs could approach $18-million, while demolition is estimated at about $1-million. The county built a new nursing home in 2012.
