Neighbors argue against liquor license

Neighbors of a planned bar and restaurant for Janesville’s Fairview Mall don’t appear pleased.  Those showing up at last night’s city council meeting all spoke out against plans to grant the Rooster’s Barrel and Wagon Works a liquor license.  They say the business should be downtown and not in a residential district.  The restaurant’s owner had already met with concerned neighbors near the mall.  The proposal had also been sent back to the Alcohol License Advisory Committee, which did add some restrictions.  The council approved the license with Council Member Jens Jorgensen dissenting.
