A 39-year-old Janesville woman, convicted of burglarizing homes to feed a drug habit, pleads for leniency in a Rock County courtroom. Assistant District Attorney Henry Dirks acknowledged Misty L. Kvistad’s physical and emotional abuse as a child, but added a life of criminal activity meant she needed to be kept off the streets. Kvistad tearfully apologized for hurting people and said she was trying to be a good person. Kvistad was sentenced to ten-years behind bars with lengthy extended supervision.
