A 44-year-old Jnaesville man is facing a charge of operating under the influence of drugs after a fatal car crash in Green County. The sheriff’s office says a car being driven east on Highway 11 near Highway 81 by Nathan L. Loepold crossed the centerline Friday night around 6:00 o’clock, and hit a car driven by a 70-year-old Juda man. The Juda man was killed, and a 12-year-old passenger injured. On-line court records indicate he was convicted in a 2002 Dane County case of hit-and-run involving death, and one count of homicide by the negligent operation of a vehicle. He was sentenced to five-years and seven months in prison in that case.
