(Gazette photo)  A 21-year-old man is in custody after a shooting in Milton Wednesday night.  Police say they found a 30-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound when they responded to a report of a disturbance a little before 8:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Elm Street.  While responding additional witnesses called 911 reporting gunshots.  Chief Scott Marquardt says the victim was first taken to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville, and then transferred to UW Hospital in Madison via MedFlight.  He was last reported in critical condition.  Marqardt says the two men know each other and stresses this is not a random crime, and the community is no longer at risk.  Authorities spent the night searching the scene, both inside and outside the house, gathering evidence.  Police say the weapon involved in the shooting was recovered at the scene.
