The latest report of local economic indicators boasts new highs.  The Rock Ready Index is a quarterly economic development dashboard.  The Rock County Development Alliance began compiling the report in 2012, paying special attention to job opportunities, sales and use taxes, and real estate sales.  The latest quarterly report indicates some records for the history of the index.  Among them, Rock County Sales and Use Taxes.  Compilers say this indicates the availability of disposal income and confidence in the area’s economic potential.  Another top area of increase is the median sales price of residential property, which has also reached a new high.  Compilers say the numbers suggest the local economy continues to gain steam.
