The City of Janesville is taking public comment seriously in planning the conversion of Court Street to a two-way.

Public Works Director Paul Woodard says instead of converting Cherry Street into a cul-de-sac, he’s proposing making it a one way southbound from Court Street.

Woodard says after speaking with the public, he’s also proposing to remove the traffic light at Jackson Street, and to install bike planes eastbound on Court Street from Linn Street to Garfield Avenue.

The City Council approved converting Court to a two-way last month, however the directed the City Staff to address some of the public’s concerns.

The Council will take a look at the proposal when they meet at 6:00 Monday night at City Hall.
