A 33-year-old Beloit man is facing felony theft charges after a Janesville motorist reported having a wallet, stolen from their lap, while waiting at a stoplight. Janesville police say the victim reported the incident happened a about 1:00 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of North Parker Drive and East Milwaukee Street. A police K9 unit tracked a suspect to the intersection of East Milwaukee Street and North Atwood Avenue where Jermone D. Stewart was taken into custody.
