Evansville plans a wastewater plant upgrade

A local community is ready to stop watching money go down the drain. Evansville City Administrator Ian Rigg says improvements to the waste water treatment plant will help separate water from the sludge in wintertime.  Rigg says the upgrades, to separate the water from the sludge and prevent the expensive hauling of ice in winter, will cost upwards of $3 million. He says besides saving money, the city will now be able to attract high water using industries as well.
