United Alloy announced expansion plans

A long time Janesville company plans to stay in Wisconsin thanks to economic development support from the city and state. United Alloy Founder Tom Baer Friday afternoon hosted the Governor at his manufacturing plant on Kennedy Road. Baer had considered many sites around the country for his soon to begin $15 million expansion project. Baer also announced plans for 66 additional employees over the next three years.  After touring the manufacturing plant,  Governor Walker congratulated Baer for creating yet another expansion in Janesville. The governor also took advantage of the presence of the media to state his position on President Trump’s announcement regarding steel and aluminum tariffs. Walker warns the tariff’s could prompt some American companies to leave.
