A former Milwaukee police captain will be Whitewater’s new police chief.  Aaron M. Raap was among two finalists to replace Lisa Otterbacher, who is retiring.  The other finalist was the deputy police chief for the village of Round Lake Beach, Illinois.  Police and fire commission President Glenn C. Hayes says the vote Thursday was unanimous.  Hayes describes Raap as genuine and compassionate with integrity that is “absolutely without question.”  Raap is expected to start as chief in early June.
