This year’s annual Rock County Sheriff’s award ceremony appears to be heavily weighted toward officers being recongized for lifesaving. Sheriff’s Commander Troy Knudson says nine of the awards being doled out are for saving individuals during an opiate overdose. Other awards will include Deputy of the Year, Correctional Officer of the Year, and Civilian Employee of the Year during the public ceremony set for 6:00 p.m. Thursday in the Jury Assembly Room of the Rock County Courthouse.
