Democrat Janis Ringhand of Evansville calls it a great honor to represent people of south central Wisconsin in the State Senate. Ringhand calls the 15th District a diverse mix of urban and rural areas, and she takes pride in bringing everyone’s voice to the State Senate. Ringhand has served one term in the Senate, following two terms in the Assembly. She says her efforts have included work to develop a long-term transportation plan, expanding Family and Medical Leave, and supporting training and educational programs to help students devleop the skills needed for good paying, high demand jobs. The lifelong Rock County resident was also Evansville’s Mayor and a city council member.
