(Gazette photo)  After sitting vacant for half-a-decade, the restaurant space inside the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport terminal will be opening soon.  The Rock County owned airport had a restaurant in its terminal from the 1960’s until 2013 under a variety of owners.  Airport Manager Greg Cullen says traffic has plateaued over the last year, but he believes a new restaurant will boost leisure flights to the airport.  Beloit restaurant group Geronimo Hospitality is planning a 1950’s themed breakfast and lunch diner celebrating the history of flight.  it could be open yet this summer.
