The Janesville City Council votes unanimously to rezone a property at 1025 North Washington Street to allow for a permanent men's homeless shelter.
Building and Development Services Manager Tom Clippert says currently the GIFTS organization rotates it's shelter among more than 30 churches.
The next step for GIFTS is a major capital campaign to raise the funds necessary to renovate the vacant building on the property to suit the organization's needs.
