AUDIO: Democrats host Rock County Sheriff's forum

The Democratic Party of Rock County will be hosting one of the few forums for candidates in the sheriff's race.   Incumbent Rock County Sheriff Robert Spoden and challenger Captain Gary Groelle, have certainly discussed many law enforcement topics on the job, but the conversation is likely to take on a very different tone during a candidates forum Wednesday night.  Democratic Party Vice Chair of Communications Yuri Rashkin says this type of event is one of the best way to get to know the candidates, and much better than advertisements, sound bites, or even short media stories.  Rashkin says the sheriff's primary next month is an unusually important election, because without a Republican candidate, voters will be choosing the next sheriff.  The forum is set for 7:00 o'clock Wednesday night at the UAW Hall on Lafayette Street in Janesville.  One of the only other forums in the race will be hosted by "Your Talk Show" on WCLO next week at the Rock County 4-H Fair.
