Janesville Police Officers will be doing a little trick-or-treating of their own Saturday, and it's not candy that they're looking for.
Sergeant Chad Pearson says like in year's past, officers will be doing compliance checks on registered sex offenders with Probation officers.
Pearson says registered sex offenders aren't allowed to turn on their porch lights, put up Halloween decorations, or hand out candy.
Pearson says in all, officers plan to visit with about 40 registered sex offenders on Halloween.
