Finding the 40 hours needed to conduct the hearing may be one of the biggest hurdles facing the Beloit Police and Fire Commission in deciding the fate of Police Chief and Deputy Chief.

When they met last week, members of the PFC were able to come up with nine dates over a period of two weeks to conduct the lengthy hearing that may result in the termination of Chief Norm Jacobs and Deputy Chief Tom Dunkin.

One by one, attorneys for the City of Beloit as well as Jacobs and Dunkin crossed dates off that list due to prior commitments.

The PFC is set to hold a phone conference Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 where the parties could finalize the dates for the hearing which is set to start next Wednesday at 4:00.
