Crash Shuts Down NB I-39 for 4 Hours

A crash involving two semis closes down northbound I-39 for about four hours.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident happened just before 9:00 last night near Edgerton.

A semi was disabled in the right shoulder, and it's trailer was hanging into the lane of traffic by about a foot when it was struck by a FedEx semi trailer that was headed northbound on I-39.

The two trucks block the northbound lanes of I-39 for about four hours and traffic had to be diverted onto Highway 14.

The driver of the FedEx truck, 28-year-old Adam Holm of Palentine, Illinois was transported to St. Mary's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the disabled truck was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
