A Janesville school is placed on lock down briefly due to a nearby domestic incident.
Wilson Elementary School went into lockdown shortly before 1:00 p.m. Monday because of an incident which took place at a residence on the 400 block of Rockport Road.
Janesville police say a female victim called 911 from her vehicle after being hit in the head with a hammer by a male suspect.
The suspect was arrested a short time later on Court Street after the Janesville Fire department responded to a call for a man down.
Police say there is no danger to the public.
