JVL Man Arrested in Connection with Marijuana Grown Operation

A 27-year-old Janesville man is under arrest after a search warrant turns up an elaborate marijuana grow operation.

On Thursday Officers from the Janesville Police Department Street Crimes Unit, Patrol Division and the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigations executed a search warrant at a residnece on the 200 block of East Holmes Street.

According to a news release, the search warrant was the result of a several month long investigation into the illegal production and distribution of marijuana.
Officers discovered a marijuana grow operation in the basement, as well as 22 plants in various stages of development. The grow rooms were wired for grow lights and temperature control.
City Code Enforcement also responded due to the fact that the homes electrical system had been modified to support the grow operation.  Several code violations at the residence were documented.
Police arrested 27-year-old Steven M. Tomasevic on suspicioin of running a drug house, possession of more than 20 marijuana plants, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
