Van Buren Elementary School in Janesville will have $25,000 more to spend after being hamed a U.S. Cellular Champion school in the "Calling All Communities" campaign. Principal Stephanie Pajerski plans to see the money invested in technology. Smart boards for all class rooms are high on the list. Although Pajerski still believes in paper and pencil, she says it's a world filled with technology, and students have it in their hands from birth. The district is expected to pick a different school to participate in the national contest every year after the success of Monroe Elementary last year.
