Police working with U.S. Postal inspectors arrest three Janesville residents and recover about $10,000 worth of marijuana.

Janesville police say suspicious packages from several Southwestern states had been arriving at the residence on the 1000 block of Laurel Avenue.

A pre-approved search warrant was executed Tuesday after a suspicious package was delivered to the house that a drug-sniffing dog got a hit on.

Those arrested include 19-year-old Merissa N. Gonzales on charges of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, maintaining a drug house and possession of drug paraphernalia; and 22-year-old Shawn D. Haggerty, and 20-year-old Tucker L. Dutcher, both on charges of party to possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, maintaining a drug house and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The package contained eight pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $9,500 to $11,000 and 1.1 ounces of THC wax, a refined marijuana product usually more potent than the marijuana plant itself.
