No "Tricks" for Janesville Police

The Janesville Police Department goes out for trick or treating Thursday night, but officers weren't collecting candy, they were checking on registered sex offenders.   The department has gotten into the habit of conducting sex offender compliance checks during trick or treat hours in recent years.   Janesville officers, along with probation agents from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, see if offenders are where they should be, and not doing what they shouldn't.   Police are pleased to report, after checking on 43 supervised sex offenders, not a single violation was observed.
