A calm, warm, spring evening sets the mood in Lower Courthouse Park for this year's Rock County Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony. Sharing a message of service and sacrifice, State Assembly Representative Deb Kolste of Janesville saluted both officers and their families. The Democrat openly shared what she called the deepest gratitude to officers for their service, but also their families. Sheriff Robert Spoden also address a small crowd gathered in the amphitheater, saying the county is blessed to have the type of law enforcement officers who serve here. Along with a rifle salute and taps, the names of officers from surrounding states lost this year were read into a roll or honor. This was the 19th annual Rock County Law Enforcement memorial Ceremony.
