Six people arrested following disturbance in Janesville

Police make a half dozen arrests while responding to the report of a disturbance in Janesville.

Janesville Police say officers were dispatched to a residence on the 100 block of North Pine Street at 8:30 Saturday evening on the report of a disturbance.

After observing several people run into the house, and two people jump the fence and run away, officers made contact with the resident, 43-year-old Dawn Giese.

Giese allowed officers to search the home after they observed a white powdery substance and baggies in plain view in the garage.

During the search, officers found another bag of cocaine and a scale in Giese's bedroom, and two more bags of cocaine and a scale in the yard.

The arrests included 24-year-old Nicholas Walker and 20-year-old Mario Rice Jr. on active warrants; 40-year-old Mario Rice Sr. for resisting and a probation hold; 34-year-old Tony Jackson for possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and battery; 43-year-old Dawn Giese for possession of cocaine; and 24-year-old Ashlea Marek for possession of synthetic marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
