Beloit fire officials are investigating a Wednesday morning blaze on the west side.  Deputy Fire Chief Joseph Murray says firefighters responded a little after 5:00 a.m. to 1365 Grant Street.  Murray says smoke was already billowing from the front and back of the single story residence.  He says the two adult occupants were able to escape before first responders arrived, but both needed to be treated for smoke inhalation.  He says the fire started in the basement, and firefighters were able to save the structure.
