A simple prayer sums up the Veteran's Day gathering during  ceremonies in Janesville's Traxler.  About half the three-hundred gathered on Veteran's Plaza were students, many from Saint Mary's Grade School who offered a song of thanks.  A politically charged speech highlighted the remembrance.   Adam Dassow,  formerly with the  9th Cavalry Regiment in Iraq, talked about how the military's involvement in other countries is "Not for Nothing".  Dassow contends the "American Idea" is worth the sacrifice, no matter what the political outcome at home.  The event marked a morning of activities hosted by the the Janesville Patriotic Society.
