Late summer rains give a big boost to Rock County’s corn and soybean crops. UW-Extension Agriculture Agent Nick Baker says a recent crop tour yielded surprising results. The fields had been getting pretty dry until the recent rains. Harvest returns may not be a bumper crop, but Baker says they’re expected to be respectable. The soybean harvest may begin later this month, corn late next month.
