The City of Beloit's Municipal Golf course could be one of the first recreational venues to go due to the increasing amount of subsidies necessary to keep it running.
At a presentation on the proposed 2016 budget before the City Council Monday Finance and Administrative Services Director Eric Miller says the City is proposing spending less on the Krueger-Haskell Golf Course next year.
Other recreational facilities that could face the chopping block under tightening City budgets are the Krueger Municipal Pool and Edwards Ice Arena.
A public hearing on the proposed budget will take place October 19th at 7:00 p.m.
