State Representative Mark Spreitzer isn't impressed that his request for a public hearing on non-partisan redistricting reform legislation in the Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections has been denied by the committee's chair, Representative Kathy Bernier.
The Beloit Democrat says if there isn't time for a public hearing on his legislation, which was introduced in September, there shouldn't be time for a public hearing on legislation to dismantle the state's elections and ethics agency, released last week.
Spreitzer and fellow members of the Assembly Democratic Freshman Caucus sent a letter to Bernier expressing their frustration Friday.
