For the first time in almost 35 years, the City of Beloit is taking stock of it's historic properties.
Thanks to a grant from the Wisconsin State Historical Society and National Park Service, the City of Beloit Landmarks Commission has hired Legacy Architecture to conduct a historic intensive survey in Beloit.
City Planner Alex Morganroth says a thorough local architectural survey provides the City with a comprehensive database of significant historical structure in the community and forms the basis for many preservation decisions.
The answer any questions, the City is hosting a public kick-off meeting Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at the Beloit Public Library.
