Beloit man sentenced to four years for shooting

A 26-year-old Beloit man will go to prison for firing a gun into a car full of people.

The Rock County District Attorney's Office says on Tuesday Judge Michael Haakinson sentenced Antohn J. Dawson to four years in prison and five years of extended supervision for first degree recklessly endangering safety.

The criminal complaint says multiple witnesses observed Dawson pull out a gun and fire multiple shots into a car with three or four people in it in August of 2013.

Police were never able to identify the occupants of the vehicle, and no injuries were reported as a result of the shooting.
