An elderly woman is found dead at a Janesville park.
A Janesville Police report says 76-year-old Joan E. Purdy was found in the upper pavilion playground of Palmer Park Monday afternoon.
Purdy died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and a pistol was found on her body.
A resident found Purdy's body and reported it to police.
