The new massive Dollar General Distribution Center, being construction on Janesville's southside, is expected to create hundreds of new jobs, but City Engineer Mike Payne says it'll also require a little roadwork on Highway G south of Innovation Drive. Payne says the work will cost close to $2 million and run 5000 feet south of Highway 11. The work is expected to be completed next summer and is being paid for by a Transportation Enhancement Assistance Grant. To keep residents informed, a community engagement forum is planned from 4:30 p.m. til 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at city hall.
